  17. Marshall T. Rose presented the Network Management Area status report.
  18. The report covered the status of current MIBs, guidance on use of the
  19. SNMPv2 SMI, SNMP agent extensibility issues, and a brief summary of
  20. Network Management Area working group status.

  23. SNMPv2 Working Group Status Report
  24.  
  25. Bob Stewart, SNMPv2 Working Group Chair, presented a status report on
  26. the SNMPv2 efforts.  Bob summarized the major changes to the SNMPv2
  27. specification that are under consideration by the working group.  Bob
  28. also proposed a migration path for the set of SNMPv2 documents.

  30. Bob requested that members of the community identify their
  31. implementation commitments.  The following members committed to
  32. implementation of the current set of SNMPv2 specifications by 15 May
  33. 1995:

  45. The final agenda item was the peaceful transfer of power to the new IETF
  46. Network Management Area Director, Deirdre Kostick.  The new area
  47. director was given the IESG target T-shirt; the former area director
  48. received an SNMP (Simply Not My Problem) shirt.
