  2. Print Job Management BOF (PRINTJOB)

  6. A Print Job Management BOF was held on Tuesday.  The meeting was chaired
  7. by Joel Gyllenskog.
  8.  
  9. The group discussed the appropriateness of using SNMP for managing print
  10. jobs.  There was considerable discussion on existing standards for
  11. managing print jobs and how those would interact with SNMP. After the
  12. discussion, the decision was made not to attempt to form a PRINTJOB
  13. Working Group at this time, but to informally continue examining the
  14. needs and options.  The Printer MIB Working Group (PRINTMIB) has
  15. completed its effort in producing the printer MIB and will continue to
  16. meet.  Managing print jobs will be one of the subjects on its agenda.
  17. Those meetings will not be sanctioned by the IETF, but interested
  18. individuals are free to participate either in person or via the
  19. electronic mailing list.
