  19. The Point-to-Point Protocol (PPP) provides a standard method for
  20. transporting multi-protocol datagrams over point-to-point links.  PPP
  21. defines an extensible Link Control Protocol and a family of Network
  22. Control Protocols (NCPs) for establishing and configuring different
  23. network-layer protocols.  This document extends the NCP for
  24. establishing and configuring the Internet Protocol over PPP, defining
  25. the negotiation of primary and secondary Domain Name System (DNS) and
  26. NetBIOS Name Server (NBNS) addresses.

  28. This memo provides information for the Internet community.  This memo
  29. does not specify an Internet standard of any kind.  Distribution of
  30. this memo is unlimited.
