  16. This document specifies a Uniform Resource Locator (URL), the syntax
  17. and semantics of formalized information for location and access of
  18. resources via the Internet.  This RFC is the product of the Uniform
  19. Resource Identifiers Working Group of the IETf.

  21. This is now a Proposed Standard Protocol.
  22.  
  23. This document specifies an Internet standards track protocol for the
  24. Internet community, and requests discussion and suggestions for
  25. improvements.  Please refer to the current edition of the "Internet
  26. Official Protocol Standards" (STD 1) for the standardization state and
  27. status of this protocol.  Distribution of this memo is unlimited.
