  23. The management protocol, version 2 of the Simple Network Management
  24. Protocol (SNMPv2), provides for the exchange of messages which convey
  25. management information between the agents and the management stations.
  26. It is the purpose of this document to define managed objects which
  27. describe the behavior of a SNMPv2 entity.  This RFC is the product of
  28. the SNMP Version 2 Working Group of the IETF.

  30. This is now a Draft Standard Protocol.

  32. This document specifies an Internet standards track protocol for the
  33. Internet community, and requests discussion and suggestions for
  34. improvements.  Please refer to the current edition of the "Internet
  35. Official Protocol Standards" (STD 1) for the standardization state and
  36. status of this protocol.  Distribution of this memo is unlimited.
