  17. This document is a snapshot of the work of the Router Requirements
  18. working group as of November 1991.  At that time, the working group
  19. had essentially finished its task.  There were some final technical
  20. matters to be nailed down, and a great deal of editing needed to be
  21. done in order to get the document ready for publication.
  22. Unfortunately, these tasks were never completed.  At the request of
  23. the IETF Internet Area Director, the current editor took the last
  24. draft of the document and, after consulting the mailing list archives,
  25. meeting minutes, notes, and other members of the working group, edited
  26. the document to its current form.

  28. This memo provides information for the Internet community.  This memo
  29. does not specify an Internet standard of any kind.  Distribution of
  30. this memo is unlimited.

  32. This announcement is sent to the IETF list and the RFC-DIST list.
