  18. The Point-to-Point Protocol (PPP) provides a standard method for
  19. transporting multi-protocol datagrams over point-to-point links.  The
  20. PPP Compression Control Protocol provides a method to negotiate and
  21. utilize compression protocols over PPP encapsulated links.  This
  22. document describes the use of the Stac LZS data compression algorithm,
  23. with single or multiple compression histories, for compressing PPP
  24. encapsulated packets.  This RFC is the product of the Point-to-Point
  25. Extensions Working Group of the IETF.

  27. This memo provides information for the Internet community.  This memo
  28. does not specify an Internet standard of any kind.  Distribution of
  29. this memo is unlimited.
