  18. The Point-to-Point Protocol (PPP) provides a standard method for
  19. transporting multi-protocol datagrams over point-to-point links.  PPP
  20. also defines an extensible Link Control Protocol, which allows
  21. negotiation of a Quality Protocol for continuous monitoring of the
  22. viability of the link.  This document defines a protocol for
  23. generating Link-Quality-Reports.  This RFC is the product of the
  24. Point-to-Point Extensions Working Group of the IETF.

  26. This is now a Draft Standard Protocol.
  27.  
  28. This document specifies an Internet standards track protocol for the
  29. Internet community, and requests discussion and suggestions for
  30. improvements.  Please refer to the current edition of the "Internet
  31. Official Protocol Standards" (STD 1) for the standardization state and
  32. status of this protocol.  Distribution of this memo is unlimited.
