  18. The Point-to-Point Protocol (PPP) provides a standard method for
  19. transporting multi-protocol datagrams over point-to-point links.  This
  20. document describes the use of Frame Relay for framing PPP encapsulated
  21. packets.  This RFC is the product of the Point-to-Point Protocol
  22. Extensions Working Group of the IETF.

  24. This is now a Proposed Standard Protocol.
  25.  
  26. This document specifies an Internet standards track protocol for the
  27. Internet community, and requests discussion and suggestions for
  28. improvements.  Please refer to the current edition of the "Internet
  29. Official Protocol Standards" (STD 1) for the standardization state and
  30. status of this protocol.  Distribution of this memo is unlimited.
