  18. The Point-to-Point Protocol (PPP) provides a standard method for
  19. transporting multi-protocol datagrams over point-to-point links.  The
  20. PPP Compression Control Protocol provides a method to negotiate and
  21. utilize compression protocols over PPP encapsulated links.  This
  22. document describes the use of the PPP Deflate compression protocol for
  23. compressing PPP encapsulated packets.  This RFC is the product of the
  24. Point-to-Point Extensions Working Group of the IETF.

  26. This memo provides information for the Internet community.  This memo
  27. does not specify an Internet standard of any kind.  Distribution of
  28. this memo is unlimited.
