  21. This document defines an IPv6 provider-based unicast address format
  22. for use in the Internet.  The address format defined in this document
  23. is consistent with the "IPv6 Addressing Architecture" and the "An
  24. Architecture for IPv6 Unicast Address Allocation", and is intended to
  25. facilitate scalable Internet routing.  This document is a product of
  26. the IPNG Working Group.

  28. This is now a Proposed Standard Protocol.
  29.  
  30. This document specifies an Internet standards track protocol for the
  31. Internet community, and requests discussion and suggestions for
  32. improvements.  Please refer to the current edition of the "Internet
  33. Official Protocol Standards" (STD 1) for the standardization state and
  34. status of this protocol.  Distribution of this memo is unlimited.
