  19. This document defines the method for transmission of IP Version 6 [2]
  20. packets over PPP links as well as the Network Control Protocol (NCP)
  21. for establishing and configuring the IPv6 over PPP. It also specifies
  22. the method of forming IPv6 link-local addresses on PPP links. This RFC
  23. is a product of the IPNG Working Group of the IETF.

  25. This is now a Proposed Standard Protocol.

  27. This document specifies an Internet standards track protocol for the
  28. Internet community, and requests discussion and suggestions for
  29. improvements.  Please refer to the current edition of the "Internet
  30. Official Protocol Standards" (STD 1) for the standardization state and
  31. status of this protocol.  Distribution of this memo is unlimited.
