  19. This document specifies version 6 of the Internet Protocol (IPv6),
  20. also sometimes referred to as IP Next Generation or IPng.  This
  21. document is the product of the IPNG Working Group of the IETF.

  23. This is now a Proposed Standard Protocol.

  25. This document specifies an Internet standards track protocol for the
  26. Internet community, and requests discussion and suggestions for
  27. improvements.  Please refer to the current edition of the "Internet
  28. Official Protocol Standards" (STD 1) for the standardization state and
  29. status of this protocol.  Distribution of this memo is unlimited.
