  20. This memo describes how the IP multicast service being developed by
  21. the IP over ATM working group may be used to support IP broadcast
  22. transmission. The solution revolves around treating the broadcast
  23. problem as a special case of multicast, where every host in the
  24. subnet or cluster is a member of the group.
  25.  
  26. This document is a product of the Internetworking Over NBMA Working
  27. Group of the IETF.
  28.  
  29. This is now a Proposed Standard Protocol.
  30.  
  31. This document specifies an Internet standards track protocol for
  32. the Internet community, and requests discussion and suggestions
  33. for improvements.  Please refer to the current edition of the
  34. "Internet Official Protocol Standards" (STD 1) for the
