  15. Although a number of systems have been created in the last several
  16. years to provide resource location and navigation on the Internet, the
  17. information contained in these systems must be maintained and updated
  18. by hand.  This paper describes an automatic mechanism, the resource
  19. transponder, for maintaining resource location information.
  20. This RFC is the product of the Integration of Internet Information
  21. Resources Working Group of the IETF.
  22.  
  23. This memo provides information for the Internet community.  This memo
  24. does not specify an Internet standard of any kind.  Distribution of
  25. this memo is unlimited.

  27. This announcement is sent to the IETF list and the RFC-DIST list.
