  18. This document provides information for the novice Internet user about
  19. using the File Transfer Protocol (FTP).  It explains what FTP is, what
  20. anonymous FTP is, and what an anonymous FTP archive site is.  It shows
  21. a sample anonymous FTP session.  It also discusses common ways files
  22. are packaged for efficient storage and transmission.  This document is
  23. the product of the Internet Anonymous FTP Archives Working Group of
  24. the IETF.

  26. This memo provides information for the Internet community.  This memo
  27. does not specify an Internet standard of any kind.  Distribution of
  28. this memo is unlimited.
