  18. The Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) defines a network
  19. representation of a search filter transmitted to an LDAP server.  Some
  20. applications may find it useful to have a common way of representing
  21. these search filters in a human-readable form.  This document defines
  22. a human-readable string format for representing LDAP search filters.
  23. This RFC is the product of the Access, Searching and Indexing of
  24. Directories Working Group of the IETF.
  25.  
  26. This is now a Proposed Standard Protocol.
  27.  
  28. This document specifies an Internet standards track protocol for the
  29. Internet community, and requests discussion and suggestions for
  30. improvements.  Please refer to the current edition of the "Internet
  31. Official Protocol Standards" (STD 1) for the standardization state and
  32. status of this protocol.  Distribution of this memo is unlimited.
