Diskette Build ReadMe
This ReadMe describes the steps neccessary to build a diskette from your
Ultimedia System CD's DRIVERS directory. These diskette image directories
are provided for configuration change purposes.
REMEMBER: Your system is pre-loaded with all the neccessary device
drivers to support your Ultimedia system's standard hardware
features. You do NOT need to create a diskette unless you
require a change to your configuration.
Example: Windows 3.1 is set up with the IBM XGA-2 Device Drivers for
640x480x256 resolution. Should you wish to change this default, build the
XGA-2 Device Driver diskette and use the SETUP program on the MAIN group of
the Windows 3.1 desktop to select a new resolution mode.
To create device support diskettes for your Ultimedia system hardware:
1. Start either an OS/2 or DOS prompt.
2. Change your drive and path to X:\DRIVERS on your Ultimedia System CD
where X is the drive letter of the CD-ROM drive.
3. Insert a blank 1.44MB diskette in the diskette drive (A:).
4. Format the diskette if it has not already been formatted by
typing: FORMAT A: (FORMAT A: /U if you are using DOS 5.0).
5. Run the appropriate batch program in the DRIVERS directory which will
copy the files to the diskette (see the list of batch program below).
6. Repeat steps 3 through 7 for creating other diskettes.
7. See the README files on the diskette you just created for installation
instructions and other important information. See your operating
system manuals for configuration change information.
Below is a list of available device support diskettes which can be
created from the DRIVERS directory of your Ultimedia System CD.
