Our electronic editions contain high-quality color reproductions of artworks, critical and biographical text relating to the artworks and artists, digital recording of voice, music and animations. The works and the text (both from the original paper edition and other sources) are integrated with our proprietary interactive database management system to provide added value to the reader.
Our electronic books are not meant to replace paper editions of fine books. Rather, the CD-ROM edition provides the scholar and casual reader an opportunity to obtain information in an interactive manner, sorting for specific content and ideas, and simplifying the research and enjoyment process as a result. Thus, CD-ROM books can be read and the pictures viewed much as any conventional book would be used. However, unlike a book, the readers can use our sophisticated database to sort for specific types of information or ideas. The reader can quickly find an electronic art title in seconds by searching the database and sorting for specifics, rather than paging through an index or looking at dozens of plates to locate the appropriate information.
