CE: SI PS/2 85 REMOVE PROCESSORS FROM DEFECTIVE SYSTEM BOARDS
The system boards for the following systems, which are delivered from
parts stock do not include a processor.
- Therefore remove the processor as well as SIMM's, L2 cache and video
memory before you return a defective system board together with the
warranty reimbursement form.
- If an Intel 486-DX4 (100Mhz.) processor is installed, please also
remove the processor voltage regulator board located in front or
behind the processor.

- For Aptiva Systems M/T 2144 and 2168 consult the Hardware Maintenance
Manual. You will find detailed information whether a system board do
include a processor or not.
