TelnetPM can emulate one of these terminals:

ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ 1.1. TelnetPM Command Line Syntax ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ
The telnetpm command accepts the following parameters:
o -c codepage
o -d filename
o -e envirnonment
o -f configfile
o -h height
o -k keyboard
o -l filename
o -o printer_port
o -p port
o -t termtype
o -w width
o hostname
These options can be entered in any order.
ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ <hidden> Opening a Remote Host ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ
Use the Open menu item on the Session menu to open a connection to a remote
host.
ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ 2. Help for Session ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ
Use the Session menu to open remote host, logoff a remote host, or quit
TelnetPM.

Use the Copy menu item in conjunction with your mouse to copy text from your
emulator window to the OS/2 clipboard:
1. Move the mouse pointer to an area of text in the emulator window.
2. Press and hold mouse button 1.
3. While holding down mouse button 1, move the mouse pointer to draw a box
around the text to be copied.
4. Release the mouse button.
5. Click on the Copy item of the Edit pull-down menu choice.
ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ <hidden> Help for Paste ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ
Use the Paste menu item in conjunction with your mouse to paste text from the
OS/2 clipboard:
1. Move the mouse pointer to the area of the emulator window where you want to
paste the copied text and click.
2. Select the Paste item from the pull-down Edit menu.
The copied text is sent to the remote host with a carriage return following
each line.

Use the Commands menu to send a Telnet session command to the remote host.

Use the Abort Output menu item to request that the host stop sending output.
Data from the host is not displayed until the host acknowledges that the abort
has been processed.

Use the Are You There menu item to request that the host respond with a message
if it is still connected and active.

Use the Break menu item to send the equivalent of a break key for those hosts
that may expect or respond to a break key.

current process abnormally.

Use the Synch menu item to send a request to the host to discard data that it
has received but not yet processed.
For example, you can use this command to cancel the Paste function.

Use the Backspace submenu to send an ASCII backspace to the host. Backspace is
the default, but this can be toggled to become an ASCII delete.

Use the Debug menu item to specify that all network traffic be written to a
selected log file in hexadecimal and ASCII format.

Use the Fonts menu item to choose an alternate font for the Telnet window.

Use the Line Mode Simulation menu item to edit full lines of input and send
them to the host simultaneously. An entry field appears below the session
window for this purpose. The last ten lines sent in Line-mode simulation are
automatically saved so that they can be sent again.

Use the Local Echo menu item to toggle the display input on your emulator
window as well as on the remote host. The default is on.

The open window accepts user entry for a connection to a remote host.

Field Use
Host name Host name is entered by the user. This field defaults to empty
and must be entered by the user.
Port TelnetPM port can be entered. Defaults to 23.
Emulator VT220, VT100, ANSI and NVT are selectable. Defaults to VT220
Size H The number of screen rows can be entered, defaults to 24.
Size W The number of screen columns can be entered, defaults to 80.
OK Process information and initiate host open.
Cancel Dismisses Open Window without initiating a host open.
Default The DEFAULT button sets the all fields to the default values.
Help Displays this help panel.
ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ <hidden> Help for Font Selection Window ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ
The TelnetPM font is user selectable. The current font is the default in the
drop down entry field. Only fixed width fonts are available for selection.
To change the current font:
1. Press the down arrow on the entry field to view font names
2. Highlight the desired font.
3. Press OK to have TelnetPM use the highlighted font.
4. Press CANCEL to dismiss the font selection window without changing the
current font.
5. Press help to display this help panel.
