ABSTRACT:
NMA004.EXE, is the maintenance patch for NetWare Management
Agent 1.5 on NetWare 4.0x servers ONLY. If you have a 3.x
server, download NMA003.EXE instead. Solves short term memory
allocator errors.

SYMPTOM
On a 4.0x server, you encounter any of the following after
loading the NetWare Management Agent 1.5:
* read from a non-present page errors reported on the server
console.
* short term memory allocator errors reported on the server
console.
* short term memory allocator errors reported on the server
console after you installed the NMA002.EXE patch and you have
the TAPEDAI.NLM loaded.
* some "informational" traps are transmitted by the server,
even when the /S1 command line option is specified when
loading NWTRAP.NLM.
* multiple SCSI cards running the Compaq Fast SCSI II driver
are not recognized.
SOLUTION
NMA004 applies only to NetWare Management Agent (NMA) 1.5
running on a NetWare 4.0x server.
Do NOT install NMA004 on a Netware 3.x Server]] If NetWare
Management Agent is running on a 3.x server, use NMA003.EXE
instead.

To Install NMA004:
1. Map a drive to SYS:\SYSTEM on the server running NMA 1.5.
2. Rename the old NWTRAP.NLM (in case you later want to restore
it).
3. Rename the old SIDEWIND.NLM (in case you later want to
restore it).
4. Copy the new version of NWTRAP.NLM included NMA004 to
SYS:\SYSTEM.
5. Copy the new version of SIDEWIND.NLM included with NMA004 to
SYS:\SYSTEM.
6. On the server, enter: UNLOAD NWTRAP.
7. On the server, enter: LOAD NWTRAP (or with your desired
switches).
8. On the server, enter: UNLOAD SIDEWIND.
9. On the server, enter: LOAD SIDEWIND /N /xA0C8 (the default
installation parameters or with your desired switches).
Note: Do not install this patch on a 3.x server] If you do,
"Loader cannot find public symbol errors" will be reported. If
you have a NetWare 3.x server use NMA003.EXE instead.
Patch History:
NMA004 supersedes NMA002.EXE.
