  20. LWP42W.EXE is the latest maintenance patch for the LAN WorkPlace and LAN
  21. WorkGroup, Windows Applications and is recommended for all sites of LAN
  22. WorkPlace 4.2 & 4.1 and LAN WorkGroup 4.2 & 4.1.  Includes numerous fixes and
  23. new features.  Supersedes LWP207.EXE.

  39. A. HOST PRESENTER
  40.  
  41. 1. General Protection Fault in Windows when trying to select a different
  42. printer in MS Excel 5.0 while Host Presenter was running. 
  43.  
  44. 2. Running vi on a Sequent host, displayed garbage when doing a page up
  45. (Ctrl-U) and a page down (Ctrl-D). 
  46.  
  47. 3. Capturing the Entire Buffer produced random missing lines in the file
  48. output.  MENU ACCESS: File | Capture...
  49.  
  50. 4. Underscores displayed on the printout where there should have been spaces. 
  51. This only occurred when printing files to a postscript printer via the VAX/VMS
  52. PRINTER.COM DCL script. 
  53.  
  54. 5. A General Protection Fault occurred after printing a file approximately 10
  55. times. 
  56.  
  57. 6. Changes in the Windows Control Panel or Print Manager were not always
  58. reflected in the application.  Previously this was only true if the
  59. application was restarted after the changes were made. 
  60.  
  61. 7. Very small fonts when using postscript in Landscape Orientation, while
  62. "Bypass Printer Driver" is enabled. 
  63.  
  64. 8. The workstation would sometimes hang when 5 active sessions were opened. 
  65.  
  66. 9. Error;"Unable to obtain requested font" while using Continuous Printing in
  67. Landscape on a HP LaserJet.
  68.  
  69. 10. A screen flash while using vi could cause a loss of system resources.
  70.  
  71. 11. Printing to "Generic/Text Only" inserts 14 newlines (0x0A) characters
  72. after a line. 
  73.  
  74. 12. DECCOLM (Reset) -- CSI ? 3 l or ESC [ ? 3 l -- Now clears the screen after
  75. resetting the terminal width from 132 characters down to 80 characters.

  77. 13. General Protection Fault when continuously printing a text line longer
  78. than 132 characters.

  80. 14. Selecting Landscape Orientation under File | Printer Setup, not working.

  82. 15. Exiting from Windows to DOS when double-clicking the OK button in the
  83. screen/buffer printing dialogue.

  86. C. RAPID FILER
  87. 1. When printing from files generated by a Micro Focus compiler, some lines
  88. printed twice while some lines were blanked out.
  89.  
  90. 2. Changes in the Windows Control Panel or Print Manager are now always being
  91. reflected in the application.  Previously this was only true if the
  92. application was restarted after the changes were made. 
  93.  
  94. 3. The last line of a file, might not contain a Carriage Return/Line Feed
  95. sequence (CR/LF).  This problem was seen together with Novell DOS 7 and other
  96. Digital Research General Purpose Operating System tools.

  98. 4. If the user did not have write permission when overwriting a host file, the
  99. file was not copied and the file on host was deleted.

  102. D. SERVING FTP
  103. Users can now connect to a minimized (iconized) Serving FTP.  Previously,
  104. users could not connect regardless of whether or not Restricted Access was
  105. enabled.

  113. 1. MENU ACCESS: File | Capture
  114. Now able to print to postscript printers.  Enable/Disable this functionality
  115. by checking/unchecking the "Bypass Printer Driver" checkbox.

  117. * To print postscript, uncheck the Bypass Printer Driver checkbox.
  118. * To print HP PCL (non-postscript), check the Bypass Printer Driver checkbox.

  120. 2. Capturing can now be turned off from MENU ACCESS: File | Print Options.
