SYMPTOM
1. Creating a sub-network profile to support either FDDI_SNAP
or IBM_PCN2_SNAP, and creating a static IP address for a
specific workstation in the IP Address Assignment field of
LWGCON, caused the following error when UNISTART.NCF was
invoked:
Error: Incorrect hardware address in entry <workstation name>
Error in parsing table. Bootp server unloaded.
2. Continuously adding and deleting workstations in the IP
ADDRESS ASSIGNMENT Field would cause either:
- an ABEND of the Server
or
- the information on the workstation being viewed contained a
differnt workstation's; name, IP address, and MAC address.

SOLUTION
Apply LWG42L.EXE.
Installation Instructions:
1. Invoke UNISTOP.
2. Make a copy of your current BOOTPD.NLM and LWGCON.NLM.
3. Copy the files in LWG42L over the same named files in
SYS:SYSTEM.
4. Invoke UNISTART.
Patch History:
This is the first patch for LAN WorkGroup 4.2.
Solution Details:
Symptom #1
BOOTPD.NLM has been modified because it did not properly
support the FRAME types of FDDI_SNAP and IBM_PCN2_SNAP, even
though they were in the supported FRAME list.
Symptom #2
LWGCON.NLM has been modified because the pointer to a linked
list (which contains the workstation information, i.e.
workstation name, ip address, MAC address, sub-network profile)
was not being updated.
