  1. OS/2 2.1 Device Drivers - Enhanced Local Bus Graphics

  3. Installation Instructions:
  4.  
  5. 1.  Ensure you are running this installation program from an OS/2* 2.1 DOS full
  6.     screen command prompt.
  7.  
  8. 2.  If you have not already installed the DMQS files, changed your display
  9.     profile, and installed the VESA SVGA BIOS extension, select the first
  10.     option on the main menu to get to the VESA SVGA BIOS Extension menu.  Then
  11.     follow the prompts to install the DMQS files, change your display profile,
  12.     and install the BIOS extension.

  14. 3.  Follow the instructions in the README.S3 file on the diskette labeled
  15.     "Local Bus Graphics Device Drivers for OS/2 2.1."  When asked to choose an
  16.     installation method, choose "Install Using Defaults" and not "Install Using
  17.     Display Adapter Utility Program."
  18.  
  19. Note:  if in the future you wish to change your display, you will need to
  20. use INST7677 to change your display profile, open another DOS command prompt,
  21. and run the SVGA ON command, all prior to connecting your new display.

  23. Note 2:  if you subsequently install the OS/2 XGA* drivers, you will need to
  24. remove the SET DMQSPATH statement from your CONFIG.SYS file prior to restarting
  25. your system.
