Welcome to the How Computers Work CD-ROM

TO INSTALL
Insert the How Computers Work CD-ROM
into your CD-ROM drive.
Click the Start menu.
Click on Run.
In the text field type d:\setup
(if d:\ is the name of your CD-ROM drive).
Your How Computers Work CD-ROM runs best with
your graphics display set to 16 bit
(Thousands of colors). Please make sure both
of these are available to maximize your
Multimedia experience. Also set your monitor
to 800 X 600 or larger.
GRAPHICS DISPLAY
Please use the Display dialog box to set your
monitor to 16 bit (Thousands of colors). To do
this, you must first choose Settings under the
Start menu, then choose Control Panel. Double-click
on the Display icon and select the Settings tab.
Under Color Palette choose "High Color (16 bit).
Select apply and follow instructions.
TROUBLESHOOTING
If any errors occur,
please visit your manufacturers website for
the latest drivers. If there is an error with
some of the digital video or the Intel Indeo«
video 5 copy, please run intel5.exe in the
support folder of the CD-ROM
