"Animated Words" my latest educational shareware for children.
You need to copy this to your hard drive and un-ZIP it (PKUNZIP),
it writes .DAT files and so won't work directly from the CD ROM.
Animated Words v1.0 FLIX Productions
Registration:$12.00
"Animated Words" is a spelling program for children from pre-school
through first grade. The child is helped to match a word with it's
picture. When the word is correctly matched, pieces are added to
a puzzle; after five correct words the puzzle becomes animated.
50 words and 10 animated puzzles provide variety. The program
is enhanced with the use of nearly 100 digitized sound samples of
a human voice. SoundBlaster, AdLib (and compatible), Covox Speech
Thing, and the PC Speaker (using commercial quality Real Sound) are
supported. Both keyboard and mouse support are provided!
Animated Words was written by an artist with over
15 years' experience in the field of classical animation.
If you experience problems, please read PROBLEMS.DOC. If you
need to change your configuration, type RESET, then run AWORDS.
Please look at the file README.COM for information about other
FLIX Productions software. Please use the file ORDER.DOC when
registering. Registered users receive an additional 100
word/pictures with 20 new animations for use with "Animated Words".
Hardware Requirements: IBM PC or PC compatible computer,
640K RAM, EGA or VGA, Hard Drive. Mouse optional (but fun)!
AWORDS.ZIP will de-compress to occupy 1.48 Meg

"Twilight Zone Logo"
A little fun I had with Animator Pro (everybody has to try the Star
POCO at least once....). Sound and program done with
GRASP. Done in A Pro at 640x480 256 colors, then converted to 16
colors so it will work on normal VGA monitors. You may need to
turn the brightness up to see the stars clearly.

640x480 256 colors. Rotating invisible man and brain. Work done
for a desktop presentation job. I had to do some 3D animation for
the PC, and since I didn't want to spend the rest of my life
building a computer model of a brain, I dug up... I mean bought a
real one (well, a model) from a biological supply company. The
Invisible man came from Toys 'R Us... Done with video capturing
and Animator Pro.

320x200 256 color version of above. Actually both versions tend
to re-draw too slowly to the screen (at least on my equipment), so
the final version used for the presentation was 160x100 in a
320x200 field.

320x200 256 color rotating brain.

128x100 in a 320x200 field, 256 colors. For the same project I had
to do some seizure simulations with animation. I decided to use
stop-motion and video capture each frame. This is something silly
I did with the model when I was done.

║ TOMBRAIN.FLI ║
╚════════════════╝
128x100 in a 320x200 field, 256 colors. Real time capture of what
happens to the animator after doing too many rotating brain
animations...
