Transcription: When Theseus, suffering his own doubts, returned to Naxos to talk to Ariadne once more, he found no sign of her. Instead, he came upon the attendants of Dionysus dancing in their frenzy on the beach. Unable to see through that wild troop surrounding Ariadne, seeing only the madness of the Minids, he gave up his search and returned to his ship.
