Transcription: The woman who had stared so hard at Theseus took her father's arm and walked with him away from the docks. She looked back over her shoulder more than once before disappearing from sight. Once Ariadne and Minos had left, guards jerked the line of Athenian prisoners into motion. They were led through the city of Knossos to a building where they were fed, and where still in their chains, they spent the night. Sleep did not come easily. Tomorrow, they learned, they would be brought to the labyrinth and with due ceremony locked within.
