Transcription: As the Athenian ship pulled into the harbor of Crete, a crowd assembled by the docks. At the center stood Minos, king of Crete, waiting to receive those whose lives were to pay for the death of his son. A large bearded man, keen eyes, he moved heavily. He did not smile or indeed show any expression at all.
