========================================================================
This is a beta version, please report any problem to the Author, via
calling EF BBS, 1-703-765-4539 and leave a message to Gabor Laufer.
========================================================================
Start game by typing IX at the DOS prompt.
This game requires VGA and a Soundblaster compatible sound card.
386 or faster is highly recommended.
The program requires the Soundblaster file CT-VOICE.DRV to be in the
path, or in the same directory where this game will be.
If you don't have a sound card or it is not compatible with this game,
start the game by typing IX 2 at the DOS prompt. There will be sound,
but there will be no digitized voice.
========================================================================
File list:
IX.EXE The actual program.
BAR.EXE, TRACK.EXE, MUSEUM.EXE, INSPX1, INSPX2, INSPX3, are all part of
the main program and don't work by themselves.
INX.COM Instructions, COM file (press F2 in game to read it)
or just type INX at the DOS prompt.
RESTORE.BAT Use this only if during play the computer hangs or
lightning strikes or any other such disaster and the
computer is interrupted somehow.
README This file
MAP It's usefulness will be obvious if you keep playing.
????????.VOC 57 files with .VOC extension are the voice files.
If you don't have a Soundblaster (and you are not planning to get one),
these can be deleted.
========================================================================
If you like music and have plenty of time to burn.
Consider this as an "unadvertised special". You can listen your favorite
tune inside the game, if you type "listen" at the "input prompt".
However, don't try it (the game will hang) unless you do the following:
1. Record your favorite tune as a .VOC file and call it PF.VOC
Place it in the same directory with the rest of the game.
2. Make sure the Soundblaster program VPLAY.EXE is in the path.
Now, whenever you want to listen your tune, type the command:listen and
press the ENTER key. Esc will interrupt the tune.
When you got bored with it, just record another PF.VOC
