  9. The images on this CD-ROM may not be reproduced in any form.
  10. They cannot be uploaded to a bulletin board system, nor can 
  11. the CD be used as a file source on a bulletin board system or 
  12. network server. They may not be used in any computer digital 
  13. media or included in any software product for resale without

  19. About the Images and the Artist:
  20.  
  21. The Exotica-ROM 3.0 CD-ROM is a "digital gallery" of over 200 
  22. exotic images of feminine beauty as captured by world-renowned 
  23. artist Olivia de Berardinis. Olivia's works are exhibited in 
  24. galleries around the world and have been featured on the 
  25. television series "Beauty and the Beast" and on the covers of 
  26. magazines such as "Heavy Metal." She is also a regular 
  27. contributor to "Playboy" Magazine.

  29. Olivia de Berardinis was born in California in 1948, and was 
  30. raised on the eastern seaboard. In 1966, she attended the 
  31. School of Visual Arts in New York, though her studio is now 
  32. located in Los Angeles. Olivia's technical virtuosity includes 
  33. works in pencil, gouache, pastel, acrylic, oils, and 
  34. watercolors, utilizing brush and airbrush. An artist with a 
  35. wonderfully deep, vibrant feeling for the feminine form, Olivia 
  36. brings a determined elegance to her approach which celebrates 
  37. the essential ego and the insatiable libido of mankind.

  39. Each of the 150+ images on the Exotica-ROM 3.0 CD are stored 
  40. in 24-bit TIFF, 8-bit BMP, and 8-bit BMP Thumbnail formats.

  42. System Requirements:
  43.  
  44. 286, 386 or better preferred. At least 2 megabytes of RAM, 4 
  45. megabytes recommended. Color VGA monitor, 8-bit video card 
  46. (minimum 256 colors at 640 x 480 resolution, 24-bit card 
  47. required for viewing 24-bit images). MS-Windows 3.x (for 
  48. picture viewer program), MS-DOS 3.X or later, MS-DOS 5.x 
  49. recommended.

  51. Installation:
  52.  
  53. To install the image viewer, start Windows. Choose "Run..." 
  54. menu item from the "File" option of Program Manager. Type 
  55. "D:SETUP", where D is the drive letter of your CD-ROM drive. 
  56. Follow any on-screen instructions. The installation program 
  57. will create the group "Image Viewers," and the program icon for 
  58. this CD-ROM. Double-click on the icon to start the program.

  60. Compushow, a DOS-based image viewer, is also included. This 
  61. program was included in the \PROGRAMS\COMPUSHW directory. Read 
  62. the "README.EXE" file for instructions on program use.

  64. Technical Support Note:
  65.  
  66. After the installation of the Windows Viewer is complete, some 
  67. users may find that the images appear with only 3 or 4 colors 
  68. (resembling some kind of abstract art). This indicates that 
  69. Super VGA graphics drivers are not installed. You may have a 
  70. SVGA card, but Windows needs appropriate software to utilize 
  71. the graphics. A sure way to check this is to look at the 
  72. "Display" setting in the "Windows Setup" program, located in 
  73. the "Main" program group. The default Windows setting is
  74. VGA. Many cards come with a diskette that contains driver 
  75. software for this purpose. Check your graphics card manual or 
  76. contact the manufacturer for drivers. We have provided the DOS 
  77. program "Compushow" as an alternative to the Windows Viewer if 
  78. acquiring the drivers proves difficult.
