  3. WARNING!: FT470 shuts down and display goes blank when
  4. supply voltage drops to about 4.8 volts. BUT DRAIN CONTINUES
  5. AT ABOUT 10 ma.  So, there is a danger of over-discharging
  6. nicads.  Shut your equipment off to prevent this.

  10. TO ENABLE THE FT-470 TO RECEIVE (ONLY) OUT OF BAND ON VHF AND UHF:

  12.   1. Turn radio off.
  13.   2. Press and hold both UP and DOWN arrow keys, while turning radio back on.
  14.   3. That's all there is to it!
  15.   4. To restore to normal follow the procedure in the manual for resetting
  16.      the CPU.
  17.   NOTE: The extended coverage on vhf was apparent but was unable to see any
  18.         change in the UHF portion.
  19.         If anyone can figure out why not ... please let me know.
