  1. Modular(RJ-45) to DB25(RS-232) Adapter

  3. When looking at the back of the modular receptacle(not the cord/jack, 
  4.      X X X X  ---- 8 6 4 2        note the numbering! 
  5.       X X X X ----- 7 5 3 1
  6. If looking at the female port(receptacle, like a phone outlet in a wall),
  7. with the slot for the locking snap piece on the bottom, the wires are
  8. numbered from left to right, 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8.  This is a TRW RS-232 Adapter
  9. part # 232 21 25 007.  The cross connections are as follows:
