- Worldwide marine HF-SSB channels were rearranged 1 July 1991. The text file
- MARINE.FRQ in AQUAFREQ.ZIP shows the new channels, now in whole KHz and
- spaced 3 KHz apart. That text file contains two lines for most entries,
- which makes sorting in a worksheet impossible.
-
- The enclosed Lotus file MARINE.WK1 takes care of that problem. It is
- also smaller than MARINE.FRQ, because I left out redundant data.
-
- If you prefer ASCII, use MARINE.ASC, also enclosed.
-
- Duplex channel pairs have designator that begin with their MHz bands.
- Thus 401 is the first channel in the 4-MHz band. You will find that
- most coastal stations have simply moved to the new freqs for their old
- circuits. Those appear in the 1991 Grove Shortwave Directory. The
- publisher says the 1992 edition should be out in March or April.
-
- Happy DX-ing.
