OCR: Message to the People of the FutureTime Capsule Project With the cooperation of the Mainichi Newspaper Matsushita Electric prepared time capsules on the occasion ol the EXPO '70 world' fair held in Osaka in 1970 This bold project will transmit the culture of the presen age, just as it is, to people who will live 5,000 years from now. The 098 objects representing the natural sciences, social sciences, arts, and other fields placed in the time capsules were selected by team of 29 experts who responses to questionnaires returned by 632 knowledgeable people from Japan and overseas and 120,000 suggestions submitted by the general public.
