- Page 1 - The sheet editor

- This documentation part will go through the buttons and
- gadgets on the upper half of page 1. Read the part
- 'programming the sheet' for details on the lower half.

- Click on the song name text to edit the song name.

- »The buttons»

- METERS - Enable/disable volume meters with this
- button.
-
- Keyboard: NONE.
-
-
- VU BOX - This button brings up a window where
- you can watch all volume meters at the
- same time.
-
- Keyboard: ALT+B.
-

- MULTI - Enable/disable 'multi' edit mode with
- this button.
- See the 'multi row' description in the
- 'edit setup' part of the setup doc for
- details.

- Keyboard: CTRL+M.
-

- SPLIT - Enable/disable 'split' edit mode with
- this button.
- See the 'key' description in the 'edit
- setup' part of the setup doc for
- details.

- Keyboard: CTRL+S.

- KEY PROG - Enable/disable 'key prog' mode with
- this button. The 'key prog' indicator
- at the bottom of the page will blink
- during this mode.
-
- 'key prog', or 'key programming' is an
- easier way to edit the key map.
-
- (See the 'key' description in the
- 'edit setup' part of the setup doc for
- details on the key map.)

- During 'key prog' mode, all notes
- entered are inserted in the key map
- and mapped to the current octave and
- sound number.

- EXAMPLE:
-
- Let's say you have two sounds you
- would like to access simultaneously
- from the keyboard:
-
- - Turn on 'key prog' mode.
- - Select the first sound.
- - Select the wanted octave for
- that sound.
- - Press the keys you want to map
- that sound to.
- - Repeat the process with the
- second sound.
- - Turn off 'key prog'.

- Keyboard: NONE.

- SETUP - Enters setup.
- Read the setup doc part for details.

- Keyboard: ALT+U.

- INFO - This button makes an info box with
- lots of useless information pop up.

- Keyboard: ALT+I.

- MIXER - Enters the mixer.
- Read the mixer doc part for details.

- Keyboard: ALT+M.

- LOAD - Enters the file menu.
- Read the file menu doc part for
- details.

- Keyboard: ALT+L.

- SAVE - Enters the save menu.

- Keyboard: ALT+S.

- REVERT - This function reloads the current
- song.

- Keyboard: ALT+E.

- EXIT - Exits the program.

- SHELL - Shells to DOS.

- Keyboard: '|'.

- CLEAR - Use this function to clear the song,
- the sounds or both.

- Keyboard: ALT+C.

- »The playback control buttons»

- REW/FF - Rewinds/FastForwards the song.

- Keyboard: NONE.

- PLAY - Starts playback. Press the right mouse
- button to start the song from the
- beginning.

- Keyboard: Right ALT/CTRL, CTRL+P.

- STOP - Stops the song. If the song is not
- playing, edit mode is toggled on/off.
-
- Keyboard: SPACE.
-

- RECORD - Same as 'PLAY', but this lets you
- edit the sheet during playback.

- setup documentation for details on
- how to customize recording.

- Keyboard: Right SHIFT, CTRL+R.

- »The row of numbers»
- ──────────────────

- Click on the up/down gadgets under the setting to
- change it.
-

- POS - This is the current song position,
- ranging from 0 to 127. Each song
- position has a sheet associated with
- it. Use this setting together with
- the 'sheet' setting to control the
- playback order of the sheets.

- Keyboard: '+'/'-'.
-
-
- LENGTH - This is the song length, or the total
- number of song positions that will be
- played and saved.
-
- Keyboard: CTRL+'+'/'-'.
-
-
- SHEET - This is the sheet number for the
- current song position, ranging from
- 0 to 63.
-
- Keyboard: F9/F10.
-
-
- SPEED - This is the current song speed.
- Default is 6.
-
- Keyboard: NONE.

- BPM - This is the current song tempo.
- Default is 125.

- Keyboard: NONE.

- MASTER - This is the master volume control.
