- ▐█▌ (J)OiN 1.20 Conference replacement - PPE for PCBoard 15.1/15.2+ ▐█▌
- █▓ ▓█
- ░▓▒ This Join conference replacement surely is inteligent. It displays ▒▓░
- ▒░ simply only conferences the user is registered in without to paint ░▒
- ░ an ansi for every user. It's controllable via cursor keys and very ░
- ░ configurable. Also the possibility to design JOiN 1.20 completely ░
- ░ by yourself makes it worth a look at! ░
-
- ░ Released date: 12-31-94 ░
- ░ Package, code and Ansidesign by Blue M (Amiga Conf logo by Yello') ░
-
-
- !!! Update simply by decompacting the new PPE above your old JOiN ... !!!
-
-
- Sorry for short docs only ... but this is a real simple installable PPE !

-
- -v- The files `Head', `Foot', `Foot2', `Confs' and `Join.Cfg' are needed -v-
-
- Head is the Header shown at top of your Conference Join command
-
- Foot is the text displayed at the Bottom of your Conference Join command
- if the user has more than 22 lines selected at the (P)agelength command
- and only if the user has selected GRAPHICS or RIPScrip (M)ode
-
- Foot2 is shown at the bottom on the screen if the user has either no GRAPHICS
- RIPScrip or less than 23 lines selected at the (P)agelength command.
-
- Confs is the main conference data which is build as followed :
-
- .
- .
- One Line for conference number
- One Line Which will be displayed and used as the conference number used
- one line before
- .
- .
- .
- .
-
- This repeats as often as many conferences you've got ... at the end of
- the conferences there must be a <EOF> (END OF FILE) Mark to show Join.Ppe
- that no conferences will follow
-
- For example :
-
- ------------ 'Confs' begins here
- 0
- - 00 - Mainboard - The PD Conference for any user - 00 -
- 1
- - 01 - PD & Shareware Conference for your latest PD warez - 01 -
- 2
- - 02 - New Soundtracker Modules (free download) - 02 -
- <EOF>
- ------------ 'Confs' ends here
-
- of cause you may use the PCBOARD @X colors in your confs file ....
-
- The file Join.Cfg contains some simple data in which you should write
- down from Line 1 to #4:
-
- ------------ 'Join.Cfg' begins here
- 8
- 20
- @X70
- N
- ------------ 'Join.Cfg' ends here
-
- Line #o1: The row on the Screen which displays the first conferences
-
- Line #o2: The row on the Screen which displays the last conferences
-
- Line #o3: `The "PCB-"color used for the Highlighted Cursor'
-
- Line #o4: Do you want a `PLEASE WAIT' been shown to the user while
- PCBoard reads you conference data ? (Y)es/(N)o ...

-
- After that you should add the Join.ppe to your CMD.LST within your PCB Setup.
- The Join_151.Zip contains the Join.ppe which is made for PCBoard 15.1+ and
- Join_152.Zip has the Join.ppe created with PPLC 3.00, so that its more usefull
- for PCBoard 15.2+

-
- At this Point i like to explain why i chose this type of formating the
- `confs'-file. This simply results of the fact that you should be able to insert
- any conference at any Position. For example if you have no place to
- insert a `XM' (Kewl Soundformat Conf!) between conferences 10-15 (Here may be
- your Soundsupport Area). You're simply able to append the XM conference at
- number 99 but you're able to write down conference 99 right after conf 15.
-
- This format makes it possible to leave a conference `empty' or whatever ...
-
- One `Problem' that exists is that the lines existing in the `Confs' file
- may not be longer than 256 chars resulting of the FGET command coming along
- with PCBoards PPE...

-
- All files work with the `FILENAME+GRAFMODE+LANGEXT' standard which means
- if you want a confs text in english and one in german you simply name them :
- `confs.' (the normal english pcbtext file is named `pcbtext.')
- `confs.ger' (Normally the German pcbtext file is named `pcbtext.ger')
-
- F.e.: if you want a special RIPScrip mode header logo you should name the logo
- `HeadR.Ger' for the German RIPScrip logo
-
- Tip : If you think your Join 1.20 is slow try increasing your PCBoard
- overlay size with ovlsize.exe - This increases the speed of
- running PPE's a lot !
