- With Powerstation 1.1 as one of the startup applications along with
- Hypercard and NCSA Telnet 2.1e under Multifinder...
-
- Telnet hangs the system if I try to boot from this configuration. So, for
- the time being I do not have Telnet as one of the startup applications,
- rather I invoke it from Powerstation and it runs fine. I also get the
- empty dialog box for Telnet if it is one of the startup apps under
- multifinder.
-
- Mac II configuration: Color, Ethertalk, Sys4.2, Finder6.0, Multifinder1.0,
- various inits: appmenu,suitcase,pyro,on cue,menuclock 3.0,tops,deskpicture
- 8 megs of memory, Jasmine I90.

- NCSA Telnet Wizards,
-
- A few weeks ago I downloaded the telnet21.Hqx and the telnet21.Sit and
- neither seem to work on my MacSE, running the MultiFinder system. When you
- tell it to open a new connection, it puts up the dialog with "Configure",
- "Ok", and "Cancel" on it, click "Ok", and dialog goes away. No window. The
- "Windows" menu lists a grayed out "rosetta.com", and the "Close" menu item
- is enabled. Selecting "Close" does something that takes a little time, and
- the "Windows" list becomes empty again.
-
- I tried this on a Plus as well, without results. I tried this on the
- Universal System from Apple, without results. I didn't try it without
- TOPS, though. What gives?

- TOPS 2.0
