* Total Slideshow overhaul - very reliable - runs for days!
* BUGFIX: When saving images converted to grey, palette
was not saved; corrected.
* BUGFIX: When saving resized or rendered 16-bit or 24-bit
images, MVGASCRN.RAW files were incorrectly saved
resulting in VGAFIL not recognizing the image or
crashing; corrected.

mode;corrected.
Update v4.8 * Enhanced/Smarter AutoMode algorithm
* 32K and 16M image descriptors added
* Improved 512x480x16M interpolation mode
Update v4.7 * NEW USER INTERFACE
- Clean, colorful, functional layout.
- Maximum 'downward compatibility' with old menu
structures maintained.
- Simplified menus for normal users (ie., hidden expert
menus) - jumps to AutoMode viewing - less keystrokes.
- Optional Expert menus for power users.
- One time alphaphabetical sorting (users with 1000's of
GIFs need only call sorting option once per session);
when invoked, sorted directory is saved and reloaded
while MVGAVU is active.
* TARGA GREY PROCESSING
- FAST Targa 16/24/32 -> 32/64 grey conversion
- FAST Targa 16/24/32 -> 16 grey conversion
- All processing options work with grey images
* GIF and BMP GREY PROCESSING
- FAST color -> 64 grey conversion
- All processing options work with grey images
- Color -> '29' grey shades in VGA/SVGA 16-color modes
- Color -> '7' grey shades in EGA/EEGA 16-color modes
* BUGFIX: Multiple images with screens interpolated to
lower resolutions (eg., 640x480 to 320x200), displayed an
erroneous column of pixels on the left corner of the
image; corrected.
* BUGFIX: Background color index was modified by plain
text background color index; corrected.
* Invoking the UserMode was followed by an irritating
'bell'; removed.
Update v4.6 * MAJOR BUGFIX: Under seemingly random circumstances,
depending on video mode selected and processing options,
some GIF89A files would be incorrectly decoded or even
'hang'. This has been traced to a disk read routine;
CORRECTED!
* FASTER palette decoding. Shaves 1-3 seconds off every
256-color GIF file viewed!
* Enhanced AutoMode algorithm; more sensitive to strange
image sizes (eg., 433x242x256).
* BUGFIX: The [End] key moved the cursor to the next column
and located itself on the first row when files were
multiples of 23; corrected.
* BUGFIX: Saving TARGA 16/24/32 renderings (ie., via [TAB]
key) resulted in files missing the extreme right pixel,
which were unrecognizeable when encoded with VGAFIL
(ie., created 0x0 files); corrected!
Update v4.5 * MAJOR BUGFIX: All 1024x768x16 modes were trashed when we
removed the Trident BR look-up resulting in the program
locking-up when mode "7" was selected by the user or
AutoMode or Slideshow; corrected <whew!>.
* BUGFIX: Usermodes did not clear the screen to text mode
after displaying an image; corrected.
Update v4.4 * BMP (Windows 3.0) image file support for 16-color and
256-color image files !
- Fast!
- Fully integrated with all processing options.

selection interface of Microsoft editors.

- optional alphabetical sorting
- 184 files per page
- columnar structure
- scrolling columns
- [PgUp] [PgDn] [Home] and [End] key functionality
* Slides increased to 4096 files !!!
* BUGFIX: Trident SVGA bank routines were still flawed
(we tried to accomodate the rare BR version of the
TVGA chip), resulting in erroneous bank switching;
corrected by restoring the standard 64KB TVGA 8800/8900
banking code. <damn those BRs!>
* Added a new 'Trident' SVGA bank switching mode labelled
'Zymos'; this is essentially similar to Trident 8800/8900
chipset BUT with similar WRITE/READ bank switching
routines.
* BUGFIX: Trident card setting "24" was left in the menu
when it didn't exist; removed to avoid confusion.
* BUGFIX: C&T 451/455/456 (ie., card type "16") SVGA
800x600x16 video mode setting was missing <yikes!>;
corrected.
* BUGFIX: In our haste to hasten the screen clearing
routines, the file selection screens were not
cleared; corrected.
* BUGFIX: Users with minimal LOW RAM (ie., due to numerous
drivers or resident programs) locked up when the Slideshow
effects menu was called (stack problem); corrected.
* BUGFIX: Using the "-c" configure command for the first
time did not deallocate EMS memory if it was detected;
this resulted in GIF 89a errors and various unpredictable
errors until the system was rebooted, thereafter all
was normal; corrected !!!
* BUGFIX: MVGAVU palette changes were still not being
exported to VGACAD; corrected.
