3.2.5 MOVE VIEWPORT
The MOVE VIEWPORT command is used to move a viewport and all of its
associated entities to a different position within the SHEET viewport. If
the viewport has any associated dimension entities, these will also be
moved.
If a drawing contains a number of sub-drawings - maybe a set of detail
drawings of a complete assembly - it can be useful to arrange each detail
drawing in an individual viewport in the sheet. If at a later date the
layout of the detail drawings is to be reorganised, it is much quicker to
move the separate viewports than to move each set of entities that make up
a detail of the complete assembly.
Viewports cannot be moved such that their original extents lie outside the
boundary of the sheet.
COMMAND FORMAT
#MOVE VIEWPORT :View x1 :Loc x2 x3
or
#MOVE VIEWPORT VIEWPORT name :Loc x1 x2
The viewport can be identified via IDENTS or by name using the VIEWPORT
modifier. The two locations following the Loc prompt define the delta-x
and delta-y through which to move the viewport. ( See fig. 3.6 ).
MODIFIERS
VIEWPORT The name of the viewport to move.
