- 6.3.1 DEFINE PATTERNFILL
-
-
- DEFINE PATTERNFILL is used to define a new patternfill or edit an existing
- patternfill. If a new patternfill is created, it will be saved in the
- patternfill data file currently selected.
-
-
- MODIFIERS
-
- NAME The name of a new or existing patternfill.
-
-
- When the command is used, a window containing a square area made up of
- 16 blocks in the vertical and horizontal is displayed. Beneath the window
- is a row of 8 colour blocks showing the current settings for colours 0
- through to 7. This window is a very simple tool for creating a 16x16
- patternfill tile.
-
- To create a patternfill, a required colour is selected by clicking the
- left mouse button over one of the 8 colour selection gadgets. Clicking the
- left mouse button within the display window will render one of the blocks
- in the selected colour. Each block within the display window represents one
- of the pixels that make up the patternfill tile.
-
- This process is repeated until the required patternfill is defined,
- clicking the CLOSE gadget at the top left of the window will file the
- new patternfill definition. To view the new patternfill, use the command
- DISPLAY PATTERNFILLS.
-
- If a patternfill is created using only colour 1, it may be displayed in any
- colour or used as a mask in commands such as DRAW POLYGON. If a patternfill
- is defined with more than one colour it can only be displayed with its
- original colours.
