  1. Notes for Macintosh users:

  3. New program for browsing:

  5.      VIEWER.APP;1

  8.     This Hypercard Stack will guide in using this Aztech Personal Image Library.
  9.  
  10. Aldus Fetch:
  11. ------------
  12. On each CD we have placed all the files needed to use Aldus' Fetch catalog. 
  13.  
  14. All needed files are in the FOR_MAC folder.
  15.  
  16. This will allow you to start from the CD. We have found some CD 
  17. drivers for the Macintosh may have problems switching CD's. This may cause a 
  18. system lockup, long delays, or many extra disk swaps. 
  19.  
  20. There are three ways to avoid this problem if you experience it; 
  21.  
  22. 1- Copy the FETCH.APP;1 and  all files with ending in ".FTC;1" files to your hard 
  23.    disk. (Best, recommended for speed as well) The catalogs and Aldus Fetch 
  24.    Browser may use upto 5 MegaBytes of disk space.      
  25.  
  26. 2- Quit the Aldus Fetch application before swapping a CD, and launch the 
  27.    catalog from next disk if necessary. There is a copy of the catalog and 
  28.    support files on each CD in any of the Aztech Personal Image Libraries.

  30. 3- Update your CD Software.

  33. Notes on using Aldus Fetch and VIEWER.APP: 
  34. --------------------------
  35. Both Programs use the QUICKTIME(tm) Display Extension to draw the thumbnails 
  36. in the catalog. If this extension it is not already installed or if it is an 
  37. incompatible version, drag the QUIKTIME;1 file from any WorldBank CD to your 
  38. SYSTEM:EXTENSIONS folder and restart your computer.
