  4. This program has been designed to be used as a daily routine
  5. in improving the natural ear for music.
  6. Music students should know how important ear training
  7. is for their development. Also experienced professionals
  8. still need to stay in shape, especially with the rhythm.
  9. Even those not interested in music should realize that a
  10. "tone-deaf" ear will somehow affect their personality as a
  11. whole.
  12. Easy to use, you don't need to waste time "navigating"
  13. around. Quickly access the four sections: Melody, Rhythm ,
  14. Intervals and Harmony, and perform some drills. On the Melody
  15. section you can select from the menu an instrument or the
  16. microphone for voice training.
  17. It works as a daily "pill", a 10 minutes warm -up
  18. session is quite enough.

  23. 386SX, 2meg RAM, Windows 3.1 or Win95, VGA video 16 colors,
  24. audible PC Speaker.
  25.     (Without a soundcard the following features:
  26.     microphone, chords section and harmonic intervals,
  27.     will be disabled.
  28.     You can still use the program for
  29.     melody, rhythm and melodic intervals.)

  32. 486DX 33mhz, 8meg RAM, SVGA video 256 colors,
  33. Soundcard, Microphone (condenser or dynamic unidirectional).
  34. Also, if possible, a wavetable has much nicer sounds.

  38. WHAT THIS PROGRAM DOES: 
  39.  
  40.     The computer will play random sounds, (melody,
  41. rhythm or harmony), and you are supposed to play back
  42. what you hear.
  43. Use the piano on the screen or select from the menu
  44. (Instrument) either guitar or microphone. (This selection
  45. has effect only when you are in the melody or harmony
  46. section.) Also a MIDI instrument can be used as input
  47. at any time, except when the microphone is selected.    
  48.     Then your response will be evaluated as correct
  49. or wrong. If correct - the computer will continue with
  50. a next shot, otherwise will wait until you get it right
  51. or press the NEW button.
  52. Select the dificculty level yourself - from Beginner
  53. up to Excellent - or let the computer measure your
  54. skills. For this you should click on the TEST button.
  55.     This program will help you determine  your musical
  56. abilities and improve them.

  63. *One known little bug: on systems with 256 colours,
  64. in some special situations, this program may become
  65. unable to realize its palette, and all its colours
  66. get distorted.
  67. Try to minimize and maximize it and if this does not
  68. help, close and restart the program.
