  7. This program REQUIRES Microsoft Windows v3.1 or greater to run.

  9. WinWages has been released as shareware.  IT IS NOT FREE!  If you continue
  10. to use it after the 21-day evaluation period, you must register your copy.
  11. Please see REGISTER.TXT and REG_FORM.TXT for more information.

  13. If you you updating from a previous version, copy WINWAGES.EXE and
  14. WINWAGES.HLP to the directory where WinWages currently resides.  This will
  15. overwrite the old files and your update will be complete.  Please see the
  16. on-line help for any changes that have occurred from the previous version.

  19. Installation Procedure
  20.  
  21. 1) Create a directory to hold WinWages and its related files
  22.  
  23. 2) Copy WINWAGES.EXE and WINWAGES.HLP to that directory
  24.    (You can also copy the rest of the files there too,
  25.     but they are not required for the program to run correctly)
  26.  
  27. 3) Check your system for CTL3D.DLL, the Microsoft Windows 3.1 3-dimensional
  28.    controls dynamic link library. It should be in WINDOWS\SYSTEM directory.

  30.     DIR \WINDOWS\SYSTEM\CTL3D.DLL
  31.  
  32.    a) Check the date of this file, if is it 08/16/93 or later, go to step 4.
  33.    b) If the date is earlier than 08/16/93, you will need to update it.
  34.       Copy the CTL3D.DLL that came with the WinWages package to your
  35.       WINDOWS\SYSTEM directory:

  37.     COPY CTL3D.DLL \WINDOWS\SYSTEM\*.*
  38.     (If you system asks for permission to overwrite the file, say YES)
  39.  
  40. 4) In the Windows Program Manager, open a program group or create a new
  41.    group where you would like WinWages to be installed.  Then select
  42.    File/New, select Program Item and press OK. In the Program Item
  43.    Properties dialog box, press Browse.  Go to the directory where you
  44.    copied WINWAGES.EXE to in step 1 and select WINWAGES.EXE then press OK.
  45.    Press OK again at the Program Item Properties dialog.  WinWages is
  46.    now installed and ready to run!

  48. 5) Double click on the WinWages icon and enjoy!  I would suggest pressing
  49.    the HELP button first to learn a little more about WinWages, but the
  50.    program is pretty straight forward that you should be able to use it
  51.    without reading the on-line help.
