- WinWages v1.0a [14-Jan-94] Shareware Distribution Archive - README.TXT
- Copyright (c)1993,94 William L. Gerrard, All Rights Reserved
- Released as shareware by Digital Daze Software
-
- Full documentation is included online in the Windows Help file WINWAGES.HLP
-
- This program REQUIRES Microsoft Windows v3.1 or greater to run.
-
- WinWages has been released as shareware. IT IS NOT FREE! If you continue
- to use it after the 21-day evaluation period, you must register your copy.
- Please see REGISTER.TXT and REG_FORM.TXT for more information.
-
- If you you updating from a previous version, copy WINWAGES.EXE and
- WINWAGES.HLP to the directory where WinWages currently resides. This will
- overwrite the old files and your update will be complete. Please see the
- on-line help for any changes that have occurred from the previous version.
-
-
- Installation Procedure
-
- 1) Create a directory to hold WinWages and its related files
-
- 2) Copy WINWAGES.EXE and WINWAGES.HLP to that directory
- (You can also copy the rest of the files there too,
- but they are not required for the program to run correctly)
-
- 3) Check your system for CTL3D.DLL, the Microsoft Windows 3.1 3-dimensional
- controls dynamic link library. It should be in WINDOWS\SYSTEM directory.
-
- DIR \WINDOWS\SYSTEM\CTL3D.DLL
-
- a) Check the date of this file, if is it 08/16/93 or later, go to step 4.
- b) If the date is earlier than 08/16/93, you will need to update it.
- Copy the CTL3D.DLL that came with the WinWages package to your
- WINDOWS\SYSTEM directory:
-
- COPY CTL3D.DLL \WINDOWS\SYSTEM\*.*
- (If you system asks for permission to overwrite the file, say YES)
-
- 4) In the Windows Program Manager, open a program group or create a new
- group where you would like WinWages to be installed. Then select
- File/New, select Program Item and press OK. In the Program Item
- Properties dialog box, press Browse. Go to the directory where you
- copied WINWAGES.EXE to in step 1 and select WINWAGES.EXE then press OK.
- Press OK again at the Program Item Properties dialog. WinWages is
- now installed and ready to run!
-
- 5) Double click on the WinWages icon and enjoy! I would suggest pressing
- the HELP button first to learn a little more about WinWages, but the
- program is pretty straight forward that you should be able to use it
- without reading the on-line help.
-
- Thanks for choosing a Digital Daze Software product and please register
- if you find WinWages useful and continue to use it!
