  23. This Visual Basic app is based on code that appeared on BBS's
  24. somewhat earlier. I borrowed the tricks for generating the
  25. font list and color list that are used (the only hard part I
  26. found was getting the index for color), but everything else
  27. I take the blame for. Isn't Visual Basic the greatest thing
  28. ever?

  32. FontLook! enables you to view all your installed screen fonts in
  33. sizes from 8 to 240 points. You can use the ANSI character set or
  34. a short sentence that's included. It features a resizeable text area
  35. with scrollbars that you can type in. I like comparing fonts at the
  36. larger point sizes (but then I'm easy to amuse).

  40. The features are pretty much self explanatory, just futz around.

  44. You need the file vbrun300.dll in your windows directory and some
  45. screen fonts. Almost anything else is helpful, I guess.

  47. Just copy FONTLOOK.EXE to one of your disks and run it.

  51. This is free software. Enjoy! Pass it along to your friends. I made it
  52. to work just the way I want it to work; if you like it, too, then
  53. great! I did it as a passtime to fritter away the hours between contracts.

  58. I can't think of anything this software is good for other than viewing
  59. screen fonts, and I won't even be held to that, so I make no claims
  60. about its fitness for any purpose. I don't think this software is
  61. merchantable, and neither should you. You use it completely at your
  62. own risk and I will not be liable for anything.
