  2.     UZPower is copyrighted material by  UZful Software, Inc., and is
  3. distributed as shareware.  Shareware  distribution  of  a  program gives
  4. users a chance to try  software  before  buying it.  The copy of UZPower
  5. you have received is given an evaluation license for a certain number of
  6. days (generally  30 days,  depending on the version).  You can check the
  7. status of your license with the  "About" menu command.  For the duration
  8. of the evaluation period,  the  program  is fully  functional.  When the
  9. evaluation is over, it will give you a notice and no longer run!  If you
  10. try a  Shareware program and want to continue using it, you are expected
  11. to register.

  13.     Copyright laws apply to both Shareware and  commercial software,
  14. and  the  copyright  holder  retains  all  rights,  with a  few specific
  15. exceptions as stated below. Shareware authors generally are accomplished
  16. programmers,  just  like  commercial  authors,  and  the programs are of
  17. comparable  quality  (in  both  cases,  there  are good programs and bad
  18. ones!). The main difference is in the method of distribution.

  21. should find software that suits your needs and pocketbook,  whether it's

  33. merchantability and of fitness  for any purpose.  UZful Software assumes
  34. no liability for damages, direct or consequential, which may result from
  35. the use of UZPower.

  37.     UZPower is a "shareware program" and is provided at no charge to
  38. the user for evaluation.  Feel free to share it with  your friends,  but
  39. do not give it away altered or as part of another system. UZful Software
  40. grants  the  right  to  copy  and  distribute  this  version of UZPower,
  41. provided  that all  files in the received package  (as shown in the file
  42. packing.lst)  are  unmodified  and  distributed together,  either on the
  43. same disk or in the same archive.

  46. sell,  modify,  decompile, disassemble,  otherwise  reverse engineer, or

  65.     The essence of "user-supported" software is to provide personal
  66. computer users with  quality  software without high prices,  and yet to
  67. provide  incentive for programmers to continue to develop new products,
  68. and to maintain and improve released products. If you find this program
  69. useful and find  that you are  using  UZPower  and want to  continue to
  70. use  UZPower  after the evaluation period, you must make a registration
  71. payment  of   $5.00  to  UZful  Software, Inc.  The   $5.00  individual
  72. registration fee will license one copy  of this version of UZPower  for
  73. use on  one  computer.  You  must register  UZPower  for every computer
  74. on which you want to run it.  Specifically, the  individual  license is
  75. issued for a certain computer and the program will  not run on  another
  76. computer  without  registering  it.

  78.     To register your copy of  UZPower,  run the utility  "uzlicinf"
  79. provided with this distribution at the  DOS prompt on the computer that
  80. you  want  to  run  UZPower  on,  and  send  its  output along with the
  81. registration payment to

  96. copies of UZPower within  30 days  of  first  use  or their  license is
  97. withdrawn.  Non-restrictive Site-License arrangements and custom orders

  103.     Anyone distributing  UZPower  for any kind of remuneration must
  104. first contact  UZful Software  at the  address below for authorization.
  105. This  authorization  will  be  automatically  granted  to  distributors
  106. recognized by the  (ASP)  as  adhering to its guidelines  for shareware
  107. distributors,  and  such  distributors  may   begin  offering   UZPower
  108. immediately  (however UZful Software must still  be advised so that the
  109. distributor can be kept up-to-date with the latest version of UZPower).
