  12. DeuTex/DeuSF is a Freeware set of tools.
  13. DeuTex is Freeware but NOT public domain.
  14. DeuSF can be freely distributed with PWADS if part of the install.

  16. Here are the restrictions on the usage of DeuTex:

  18. - You shall not use these tools to extract or insert copyrighted
  19.  material in DOOM configuration files (IWADs and PWADs). Especially,
  20.  You are not allowed to use them to build any 'shareware' DOOM version.
  21.  
  22. - You are not allowed to modify or reverse engineer these tools.
  23.  (sources will be available to you if I feel you can be trusted)
  24.  
  25. - You cannot distribute these tools commercialy without my written
  26.   consent. this includes all kind of non free distribution (shareware,
  27.   paying for uploads, selling it on any kind of media). 
  28.   *Compuserve is allowed to distribute DeuTex/DeuSF without restrictions*
  29.  
  30. - Anything you build with that tool shall be free for everyone, unless 
  31.   you get a written permission from me. 
  32.  
  33. - DeuTex must be distributed with all the files in this package, including
  34.   DeuSF, the manuals and this license.
  35.   DeuSF can be distributed as a standalone program.

  37. - I will accept no liability for any damage consecutive to the use of
  38.   this program. Remember it is freeware. There is no evil intent anywhere
  39.   in the source of this program but I can't guess what the compilers 
  40.   might have hacked out of it, or how your system will feel about it.

  45.  This program is an ordinary DOS executable, compiled in HUGE memory model,
  46.  with 386 instructions.It might not run under a 286.
  47.  It was tested on Compaq LITE 4/33c and IBM Thinkpad 755c.

  49.  I cannot be liable for damages consecutive to the use of that program.
  50.  I did my best to avoid this, and use only very basic commands, but
  51.  it is not possible to state that these will work for every hardware
  52.  and software configuration.
