  1. QUICK INSTALLATION
  2.  
  3. To quickly install the program, do the following:
  4.  
  5.         Create a subdirectory on your hard disk
  6.         Copy all the files from the distribution diskette into that
  7.                 subdirectory
  8.         Modify the PATH command to include that subdirectory
  9.         Add an environment variable EEPATH to point to that subdirectory.
  10.  
  11. Start the program by typing     EE filename [RET]
  12.  
  13. All this is explained in much more detail in the manual.
  14.  
  15. The manual is EASYMAN.TXT - written entirely in EasyEdit II.
  16.  
  17. An ASCII version with page size=66 lines is in EASYMAN.ASC. It contains no
  18. special characters and can be printed on any line printer. It has an 8
  19. character left margin and should be printed at 12cpi if possible.
  20.  
  21. Please note:
  22.  
  23. To run EasyEdit II from anywhere on your system, please make sure that your
  24. PATH is set and that
  25.  
  26. either:
  27.     the 'home' directory is Saved in the Options menu
  28. or
  29.     The environment variable EEPATH is set to point to the 'home' directory.
  30.  
  31. Please read the manual for details on this. If this is not done, EasyEdit
  32. won't be able to find its configuration, macro and printer files. It will
  33. still work OK.

  35. If you are running in a DESQVIEW environment and the LOADHI area is full,
  36. set EMS=OFF in the EE.CFG file.
