- DEVICE=[d:][pathname]RAMDRIVE.SYS [kbytes] [sectors] [d-entries] [/memtype]
- [new DOS 4.0]
-
- RAMDRIVE.SYS is used to specify optional virtual disk(s). RAMDRIVE.SYS is
- like VDISK.SYS (which it replaces on some systems), except for the memtype
- options. See the VDISK.SYS topic for information about virtual disks and a
- description of the kbytes, sectors, and d-entries options.
-
- <kbytes> minimum is 16, maximum is 4096, default is 64.
-
- <sectors> 512 is the default. Other values are 128, 256, and (on some
- systems) 1024.
-
- <d-entries> minimum is 2, maximum is 1024, default is 64.
-
- /memtype specifies that the virtual disk should not go in conventional memory,
- but in expanded memory (/A), extended memory (/E), or upper extended
- memory of an AT&T 6300 PLUS (/U), instead.
-
- Any DEVICE=DRIVER.SYS lines should preceed all DEVICE=RAMDRIVE.SYS lines.
